Woman with pet chinchilla

Chinchilla-Safe from the Start

Chinchillas are natural chewers with sensitive GI and respiratory systems. The wrong materials can cause problems fast.

By focusing on chinchilla safe materials like kiln-dried pine, balsa, sola and pet-safe hardware, we give chinchillas the chewing they need without the unexpected surprises.

Made with care, right here in Texas.

FAQ

Are these toys really handmade? Yes β€” every toy is made by hand in our family workshop here in Texas.

Are food-grade dyes safe? Yes. When we add color, it’s from human grade food coloring β€” never toxic stains or varnishes.

Can rabbits or guinea pigs use these toys? Yes. These materials are safe for rabbits and guinea pigs, but not all rabbit/guinea pig toys are safe for chinchillas. We design to the chinchilla standard.

How long do toys last? It depends on your chewer. Some chins go through toys fast, others take their time. Mixing pine, balsa and sola keeps things interesting.

Do you offer stainless-only builds? Definitely. Stainless hardware upgrades are available on many toys. If you need stainless-only, just reach out.
